David is a Senior Security
Architect for Cisco’s Information Security team. In this roll he is
responsible for the creation and implementation of security policies to
mitigate risk by preventing security breaches. His
primary focus is on mitigating targeted attacks on computing infrastructure. He is
also responsible for protecting Cisco employees, partner and customer
identities as well as enabling Cisco products and infrastructure to do the
same for Cisco’s customers. David
has a patent pending for a network access product innovation. Prior
to Cisco Dave has been the Principal for a network management company he
founded, Bisant Networks (bisant.net) and has
consulted to a large number of Fortune 500 companies with assets in Northern
